In the morning, depart by bus for Potosi (3 hours’ drive). Arrival and check-in at the Coloso Potosi hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Cerro Rico mines, a mountain incredibly rich in silver, which brought prosperity to Potosi and to Spain from the 16th century onward. Centuries of mining right up to the present day have left an incredible maze of tunnels. You’ll go inside to see how today’s miners continue to work the secondary veins. Overnight at the hotel.

Skirting dizzying precipices, you’ll cross different ecological zones, from the rugged landscapes of the cordillera to the subtropical forest of the Yungas region, at the gateway to the Amazon. Return to La Paz at the end of the day and overnight at the hotel.
