1.1. Registering for one of our trips implies acceptance of our terms and conditions. Registration becomes effective upon payment of a deposit of 35% of the total amount of the services.
2.1. In the event of cancellation on your part more than 45 days before departure for a private trip, or in the event of cancellation or a date change on your part more than 60 days before departure for a group trip, the entire deposit paid will be refunded to you, minus 130 US$ in administrative fees per person (bank transaction fees will also be your responsibility).
2.2. In the event of cancellation on your part between 45 and 21 days before departure for a private trip, or in the event of cancellation or a date change on your part between 60 and 31 days before departure for a group trip, Paprika Tours will retain 35% of the total value of the trip.
2.3. In the event of cancellation on your part between 20 and 10 days before departure for a private trip, or in the event of cancellation or a date change on your part between 30 and 15 days before departure for a group trip, Paprika Tours will retain 50% of the total value of the trip.
2.4. In the event of cancellation on your part between 9 and 2 days before departure for a private trip, or in the event of cancellation or a date change on your part between 14 and 2 days before departure for a group trip, Paprika Tours will retain 70% of the total value of the trip.
2.5. Cancellation on your part less than 2 days before departure, failure to show up at the departure meeting point, or interruption of the trip on your part for any reason whatsoever will not give rise to any refund. In the event of a late arrival of the international flight, Paprika Tours will offer you the best solution to resume the normal course of your program. Any additional transport and hotel costs generated by this change will be your responsibility. Transport, hotel nights, excursions, or other services lost due to this delay will only be refunded to you up to the amount of the refunds that Paprika Tours has obtained from its suppliers.
2.6. For the Inca Trail trek (2-day or 4-day version), a provision of 150 US$ per participant will not be refunded. It is also not possible to change the dates or the name of the participants. These rules are dictated by the INC (Instituto Nacional de la Cultura), the body that controls access to the Inca Trail.
(This paragraph applies only to private trips, not to fixed-date group trips).
3.1. The cancellation conditions indicated above will apply to each participant cancelling their trip. In addition, for the remaining participants, the cost of the trip per person may increase. Indeed, the price per person is calculated based on the number of participants and is only valid if this number is maintained. Participants who have cancelled their trip will not be responsible for this additional cost, which will be borne by the participants completing the trip.
4.1. In the event of a cancellation on our part following a case of force majeure (e.g., social or political unrest that would not allow minimum safety conditions to be ensured), the entire deposit will be refunded to you, except for bank fees and any non-refundable expenses incurred by Paprika Tours, upon presentation of supporting documents. No compensatory indemnity will be paid. If you have not taken out cancellation insurance for your international ticket, Paprika Tours cannot be held liable and will not be involved in its reimbursement.
4.2. For fixed-date group trips (as opposed to private trips), in the event that the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached, an alternative solution will be offered to carry out the trip at the same cost but removing the meals, accompanying guides, and private vehicle transport. The trip is then carried out by first-class public bus with French-speaking guides at each site. You will be free to accept or decline this proposal. If you decline it, you will be refunded the entire deposit paid, minus bank fees. No compensatory indemnity will be paid.
5.1. For reasonably justified reasons (in particular social unrest, weather events, natural disasters, passenger safety, etc.), Paprika Tours reserves the right to change a means of transport, accommodation, an itinerary, as well as the schedules of certain excursions.
5.2. Paprika Tours is not responsible for the consequences resulting from any type of program alteration caused by airport closures, weather conditions, natural disasters, or other reasons, such as flight delays, political situations, war, strikes, changes in aircraft type, and/or any other force majeure circumstance. Any additional costs generated by this type of program alteration are the responsibility of the client.
5.3. Once the initial deposit has been paid, the client may no longer modify the program without the agreement of Paprika Tours. Modification fees may be applied depending on the costs and cancellation or modification penalties applied by the suppliers of services already booked and/or paid for.
6.1. It is up to each traveler to inform themselves about local rules regarding customs, visas, and vaccinations. Paprika Tours cannot be held responsible for any consequences of failure to comply with a formality.
7.1. You are aware that the safety conditions specific to the country, the sometimes remote location of medical centers, and the activities you will undertake involve certain risks that you accept in full knowledge of the facts. The transport companies used (plane, bus, boat, private vehicle) have their own insurance and are solely responsible for any damage in the event of an accident, Paprika Tours acting only as an intermediary and always choosing approved and safe transport companies. Paprika Tours does not provide insurance.
